2026 Communication Guidelines
Riptide has clear communication guidelines between players, coaches and parents.
Our hope is to help define the communication expectations for players and parents before, during, and after a game or practice.
Our first line of communication will be with the players, then, if needed, with the parents.
The purpose of a communication guideline is to encourage players to raise any questions or concerns about playing time, strategy, or positions.
The hope is for our players to develop a comfortable relationship with coaches to have critical conversations that will help them grow not only as athletes but also as future leaders/ball players.
Appropriate communication times for players to share concerns with coaches:
- Before or after practice or games, away from a team setting
- A scheduled conversation or time to meet (a parent can help to set up this time)
Communication guidelines for parents with coaches
- Our first line of communication should be with the players regarding playing time, line-ups, things to work on, etc.

- Decisions regarding game strategy are prohibited before or after the day of the games.
